Cold air intake installation instructions
Hello, would anybody know of where i could find installation instructions for a cold air intake system specifically for the dodge neon year 2004 sx 2.0?
I tried the search feature but could not find anything, and google was pretty vague...

It is really easy!!!
1.) Disconnect Battery
2.) Jack up front driver side and take off wheel
3.) Remove the hex bolts holding the fender to the outwer well, and 2 plastic tabs in the inner well. Move the flap of plastic out of your way.
4.) Break down the stock intake assembly (pretty straight forward).
5.) Put the cold air intake pipe in.
6.) Install onto throttle Body
7.) Put the filter on
8.) put the fender well back together and put the tire back on. Lower Car.
9.) Reconnect the battery
Viola
**EDIT
THIS IS FROM THE HAYNES MANUAL (none of this is mine, taken from out of the book)
The exact stock airbox removal includes:
1.) (on 00-02 models remove five screws ontop) Remove the 2 clips from the air filter housing lid
2.) Remove Air Filter
3.) Remove 4 bolts that attatch the throttle body to the air filter housing
4.) Detatch fresh air inlet and make up air hose from the air filter housing
5.) Disconnect the wiring harness clips from the front of the air filter housing and remove the air filter housing bolt and nut
6.) Remove air filter housing

Hello,
The CAI is a Nightforce... I purchased it off of ebay so no install instructions... it was specifically for the car and looks like it will fit just having some problems removing all the stock stuff.
Thanks for your posts, i managed to get the stock air intake out but just working on the plastic box in the wheel well right now, cant figure out where the heck it is attached to remove it...
ill try and get pics

Hey Guys, Ok, i managed to install everything but ij ust have a couple questions with the wiring, i added a pic to help describe things.
1. #1 This was the shorter tube and i imaging that its job is to draw air or something, but is this tube correctly connected via the plastic tube provided in the kit to #2 on the picture?
2. #3 on the picuture is the air sensor i believe and it goes into the hole in the pipe ime certain but it does not hold in very well at all. Can i just use some hot glue and stick it there??
3. #4 is a metal prong thing, what the heck do i secure it to? or does it support #3 in the picture?
4. #5 in the picture is a shorter smaller tube like #1 in the picture but i have no idea where it is supposed to connect to... any ideas???
oh and is there any special kind of securing things so that it doesnt bounce around too much???

Hey man.. Your question #1 is correct!
#2.. My sensor didn't stay in very well either so i just used tape.. I wouldn't recomend glue because it could eventually get sucked in threw your TB and into your intake manifold.. best bet would be to get a gromet that will fit in that and hold teh sensor
#3. The plate should be attatched to the battery tray this is just to secure the intake
#4. I believe this should be from the other hose (small hard plastic peice).. Mine didnn't come with anyway to attatch it so i just put it in (it doesn't really stay.. but doesn't really cause any problems)..
These are my best answers with the picture you provided as well as my experience!
And the problem with your cel was prolly just the neg cable being disconnected .. or it was the sensor and now it is fine.. i had this issue.. reset my computer (unplugged neg cable and held brake for a min.. then reconnect) and it worked fine from there on!!
ALSO: i had a problem where the intake (even with the support provided) didn't hold up the cone in the wheelwell very well and it would rub on the splash guard against my wheel so i cable tied it up.. you should check and make sure your clear!
