hi every one hope some one can help me out on this one.

i have just fitted a st/st maifold and a decat to my 2gen neon r/t. sounds great and gose fine but after doing about 30miles my engine light came on and now wont go of.

i have had a look and as far as i can see everythhink seems to be ok. any forts i think it could be some think to do with the oxygen sencor or heat sensor.

please help even if its just i fort

 

did you check to see what code it was throwing??

 

your new manifold is prob allowing more intake air and your decat is not providing enough back pressure for the 02 sensor to register stoich or lean. you will only get a cel when somthing with emis control is wrong with the vehicle. save the planet put on a cat and the cel should disapear

 

how do i cheek the code. and thanks for the help beemil but i dont want to put my cat on theymust be a way around it

 

with the key in the ignition in the off position you want to turn it on off on off on (not starting the car just turning it on) and on the third on position it will give you any codes you have followed by "done" write those codes down and tell us or just look up the code in one of the stickies

 

all sored i had a small air gap in the manifold just were a bit lose just sored it and reset every thing been fine since done about 50miles and been great the pick up is fantstic
