what other kind of cars are you up against where you live?? just curious.

 

Well I live in Iowa and Shes mostly up against imports like mild lookin hondas and eclipses and tibrians and some domestics like avengers and grand ams and cavys sats show she was actually up against a 00 neon which was just starting out barly had anymods.

well thats not too bad then. out here, shows are pretty rough. the last show i entered had an infinity g35 on air ride suspension, its cai was a smoked clear tube (pretty sick) and the interior was all white including carpeting to match the white pearl paint on exterior. this was by far the best looking car i have ever seen in person. so many mods on this thing. easily a 100,000 dollar car. so my neon(18,000) invested including the car, had no real chance. be lucky you live in iowa

 

Yeah pretty lucky to live where I live . best ride I have ever been against was a stock white sti and my ride came in 3rd was my 1st carshow too back in 06.

 

Yeah, too bad we're in Iowa here. We only live in the Ankeny/Altoona/Des Moines Area... there can't be any more than 700,000 people living here between these two counties. In fact I only see 10 or 12 nice done-up Neons on my way to work every day, never any more than that. I never see any nice cars around here at all...I think I only counted like 10,000 cars at the Good Guys car show here... not including the NICE ones in the parking lot that just came to see the other cars.

Uh hem... cough cough... Yeah guys, it's Iowa... but don't be fooled, it's URBAN Iowa where we are, and believe me, plenty of rich farmers and businessmen around here driving around NICE NICE cars, like new Virpers, GT500's, Vettes, old 60's muscle cars, even catch a Supra once in a while. Everyone has nice wheels and something nice done to their car it seems.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not biased... I've only lived here 2 years and I'm originally from Michigan. Don't let Airwolf fool you, there are PLENTY of awesome cars around here with PLENTY of time and/or money in them. I don't know what shows she's going to, but they're not the one's I've been to. Unless she's just meeting with 3 people in a gas station parking lot, which is not a show.

Well you just said not "not to many tuners into the show thing" so why would I show up to a car show to supposedly see just one car?

Good for you. In all your other posts, all you tell everyone is how you placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, always and your car is better than most. Now you're saying your car is sometimes not even in the top 25 and you just get compliments, not trophies... which is it? From one extreme to the next!

You can get pissed all day if you want. Bottom line, I was just telling you the truth about your cluttering posts, always trying to voice something "above" everyone else. All I asked is that you take a hint and get a grip. That was it, but obviously you can't even argue it without contradicting everything else you've previously said.

 

Well said PTS. You know, since iam new, i always like to put some time into getting toknow someone better before i judged them. And at first i thought to myself after reading all of your posts that you guys are picking on AirWolf and i was feeling sorry for her for being the one being targeted. But after reading that last post from AirWolf right before this one, i finally see why you guys do so. That quote right there kinda just made my mind up for me because like everyone else says, you compare your ride and your knowledge to everyone else's and speak of them as not even on your level. Yes, you did sound kind of selfish in that last post believe it or not. Like how you have been to more shows than Pt, know more about tuning than most, and can get compliments over others' corvettes.
