Well I'm still partial to the 0w-30 Mobil1 FS... I had the misconception for a while that it was too watery for my engine, but then I read the tech sheets on it and realized that it's only somewhat thinner at startup (good thing), and is slightly more durable when the engine is up to temp compared to 5w-30, which I thought was pretty impressive. I've been stuck on buying the Mobil1 filters too... only because when I use the two together, it seems that I have no problem go 10,000 miles between oil changes and the oil seems to hold up pretty well.

Oh BTW I didn't realize that the polls were "broken" until after I posted this thread...

Well to be honest, it's what I settle with. If I could get my hands on a jug of Pennzoil Platinum 0W-30, that would be great... but I don't even think that they make the stuff.

royal purple delivers superior protection and improves performance in four-cycle gasoline and diesel engines. It increases horsepower and torque, saves fuels and reduces heat, wear and emissions. It has unsurpassed oxidation stability that allows for extended oil drains and fewer oil changes, which saves you time and money and reduces the impact on the environment.

I had a bad experience with RP 5W-30 in the Neon @ about 5,000 miles... it only lasted 1,800 miles for me before it turned into black water, it just broke down period... I could go into more detail but I've posted about it before around here. The only strange thing was that I used Mobil1 before that, no problems... used Mobil1 after that, no problems. Oil filter looked to be funtioning correctly too.

So I dunno, maybe it was a bad batch or one-time thing or something, but I just found it hard to trust RP after that... now maybe I am wrong, since everyone else seems to have good luck with it. Maybe if I find it at a decent price again, I'll give it another try... we'll see.

Do you work for the company? Dam man you sound like a commercial/infomercial. LOL. Well I found what works the best for me is Crisco vegetable oil. Now what!

Well at your next oil change, strain that stuff out and let me know. I'm getting a hankering for some fried chicken! As long as you didn't use canola oil.......
