ok so frankly i'm tired of working on the car and this is my last resort b4 i take it to a mechanic or radther shall i say tow it to a mechanic... anyways heres the story... went on deployment for two months... come back... car's dead... try to jump it but that wouldn't work... figure fine lets go change the battery its old anyways... so go buy a brand new battery and we attach the terminal (not tight jus testin to c if it worked) and bang car turned on fine and everything... sweet i think... so now we go and tighten down the teminals and all that good stuff then go to turn the car back on and nothing wants to come on... no clicking, no engine tryin to turn, nothing. radio and exterior and interior lights work fine by the way... so my room says hey maybe its the starter... so we take out the starter than take itsomewhere to get that checked and test proved the starter was fine... so my ghetto roommate decides lets jump the starter from the relay maybe that will work... did that and when we turned the key starter works but we go no spark... so now my roommate thinks that is the computer... any of you guys have any advice??? like i said this is my last resort before taking the car in... thx for the help in advance!

 

1. do you hear the fuel pump kick on when u turn the key?

2. test the coil pack make sure all the leads are good..

3. how many miles does it have?

4. did it sit outside for those 2 months?

 

1. do you hear the fuel pump kick on when u turn the key? I HONESTLY DON'T HEAR ANYTHING WHEN I TURN IT ON I'LL GO OUT AND TRY AGAIN...

check ur belts for dry rot...was the car started every now and then? u'll probly need new gas, also check for animal nests in ur engine bay and chew marks on ur wires.... also follow this guide even though ur car may not being throwing a CEL light there could still be a code

the car was strted everynow and then, theres al least over a quarter tank of gas, no nests, tried the code thing but got nothing... my thiing is why would it start when we put new battery in the never start again... could the relays have friend for some reason?

 

or theres a short in the system some where or possible blown fuze? or ground wire came loose....theres alot of possibilites with this type of problem

 

yea someone told me about the ground wires problem... i checked those today they were fine... we checked every fuse couldn't find a bad one... pretty much probably gonna have to get it towed to a mech

 

yup did u also check ur spark plugs and wires? sorry for not being able to solve ur problem g/l

have you tried jumping the starter directly?
