new fuel pump woes
I just changed the fuel pump in my 2000 Neon. It wasn’t all that difficult. But now it’s all back together I can’t seem to get the fuel to the injectors. I can hear the pump running for a second when I turn the key but I’m not getting any fuel pressure. I put the fuel pump relay back in after taking it out to discharge the pressure in the system before I pulled the tank and I have everything hooked back up properly. And I made sure there are a couple of gallons of gas in the tank. In the service manual it talks about pressuring the system to test for leaks. I don’t have the scan tool it mentions. Is there some way to do this without it?”
are you sure your wires going to the pump arent backwards it will allow the pump to run but instead of sucking fuel out it just blows. lol sorry not funny. but anyway theres no other way to pressurize the tank with out the DRB3
no need to pressurize anything, it should run like that. make sure you have the wires wired correctly thats the only thing i can think of. did you put in a new or used fuel pump?
