so i know all of you in this forum have a neon, but who has an r/t? i have an 04 and want to know what mods people have done. i am looking into the comp 400 cam (based on magnum motor) and a 60 mm TB, along with a custom exhaust, probably taking off the "fake" dual exhaust. so far i have an ebay CAI with a K+N, mobil 1 full synthetic with K+N oil filter, front strut bar, new spark wires, ngk v-power plugs. was also wondering who in this forum has a proven 14 second or less car. would like to know what you did to make it that 1.5 seconds faster? the 03-05 from what ive heard is 15.5 stock, with probably a professional driving it and red-lining it in every gear. would love to hear from anyone, this forum is what i do in my spare time now!

i got an 04 r/t with an eibach prokit, k&n CAI, pulstar plugs, granatelli wires, single out magnaflow exhaust, and a udp waiting to be installed. I bought the comp 400 but it was on recall one of the guys said it would be good to sell in june but i havent checked back yet. I also will be getting the Mpx 60mm TB and am currently looking for a place that can PnP my heads but no one local can do it. That will prolly be all i do as far as the performance side goes for a while. When i graduate in a year ill be starting my masters and when im done with that ill prolly do an srt swap or something

I can guarantee there are absolutely no stock R/T's running a 15.5...the fastest stock R/T I've ever seen (or heard of) was 15.8...

To make your car run a 14-flat, you almost have to go turbo or a huge shot of nitrous. Its nearly impossible N/A (streetable), unless you have massive weight reduction going on also.

 

not even if you bore the engine, rebuild the whole entire thing, and take out the back seat? and new clutch as well, along with a performance header and catback exhaust? i think you would be able to run a 14.9 out of that but it would cost alot of money. some day i am going to retire this car from pizza delivery and am thinking about slowly re-doing the whole entire car. if you can get 250whp, in my opinion, with a good driver, you can get under 15 seconds. but weight redux as well. would almost not be worth all the time and money[:@]

 

oh yeah and by the way 03neonrt, ever took your car down a 1/4 mile? and where can i find a maddog sts?
