Default Who would win???

Well I found a Dodge Intrepid for sale. Its a 2000 with 55,000 miles for 6500. It has the 2.7l V6 with 202hp. Im not an intrepid fan but I like this deal just cause the dealer offers a 3 year 36,500 mile extended warranty, so if somethin major breaks while im in college ill be covered. If it breaks with no warranty im screwed cause i will have no money once college starts this fall. My friend just bought a 2000 Ford Mustang V6 with 116,000 miles. He really wants to race any car I get. Just curious... do ya think the intrepid could beat his stang. His stang was very abused. It was an ex-rental car and it was previously owned be another young kid 18-20. I think an intrepid could take him.

EDIT: P.S. His stang is an automatic.

my sister has a o1 rustang w/ 55,000 miles on it, also w/ the 3.8L v6 auto, its def. quicker than my neon, but your buddys stang w/ that many miles and being beat on, hummm. i think you could take him with the intrepid.my buddy had a 99 (i think) intrepid with the 3.3L and his was pretty quick.

I wouldnt buy it, but thats just me.... the 2.7L motors in the Insepid were notorious for sludge issues, and that motor just sucks... I understand if you cant find a better deal or car, but honestly.... Idk, I'd just be very careful..

The V6 in the 2000 stang is a dog... the Intrepid would probably take it... although I agree with Devils, that motor is not reliable, and I question the tranny in it as well... bottom line, I would be scared to beat on an Intrepid or try any kind of racing with it.

If you take care of it, you will have no problems
