So I had to go out and get some food from a supermarket about 5 hours ago, I was doing 55ish and a plow truck was doing at least 40 and was spreadgin some road salt. So I got with in 10 feet of the truck and saw the salt coming out and I thought to myself **** this isn't going to be good, so I floor the brake pedal and try to get as slow as I can but I only get down to about 47 and then all that salt hit the freakin car... My hood, bumper and drivers side of the car now have hundreds of small dots all over them, the salt went right through the clear and base coat but couldn't get through the primer. The thing I hate is that the spreader is at the exterior mirror height so its like they designed it to destroy people cars, those dam peices of salt were bouncing off my car like a pinballs. Since the car is so dirty I can't really tell how many there are all together but my hood is pok-a-dotted with greyish white.
I'm picturing that your hood looks like smallblockfreak's hood.

No, I don't think its that extreme, but it is definately noticeable. I'll see the extent of the damage when I finally get the car cleaned at a car wash. I mean the hood had some spots already at the bottom of the hood but now the dots are everywhere.

I just bought Tokico Lites with 1.6 front + 1.8 rear lowering tokico springs, R/T side skirts, an 02 front bumper, a 99-00 Civic Type-M Lip, a fender to replace my damage, and M3 sideview mirrors with LED signals in them. (Got the bumper and fender from certfit for $60!...$30 each)
Now I just have to paint these parts without spending too much. I can't wait to get all of these parts installed!

A little information my car didn't use to look as bad but keep washing it and the clear pops up. I'll show you the difference what it sort of use to look like with a little clear peeling up.

This is more recent.
I know i can't say anything since mine happened so long ago but i wonder if you can try to make the town or state pay for the damages done to your car. You might want to check. The salt does not need to be flying out of the back of the truck at 100mph lol.

Also mat your lucky you didn't buy anything from cho on 2gn cuz i bought tails and got outed money. They never got sent. ***king sucks. I just want a set of 2000-2002 stock tails that are in great condition since one of mine is missing a chunk. Also if anyone has a 02 front bumper they don't want i'd like it.

Don't you have a local junkyard or certifit that you can find that 02 bumper?
