NEW Official 2nd-Gen Off-topic Thread
It over heats and burns out key components. Once it's initially fixed, it's usually ok. And all the newer 360's do not have the problem at all.
You can easily fixed the 360 yourself if you no longer have the 3 year warranty. Ericemery here at DF fixed his, himself.

Thats just like Microsoft. Thats what these systems are made for. They know people are going to play all day and night. You cant beat Halo in 1 hour. They should have worked all the bugs out before they put them on the market.
For those of you who were around, and those of you who read N30N's last thread, please read all of this once:
N30N was pulling some out-of-line things lately, not just here but elsewhere. To some extent, some he wasn't the only one. I already voiced that I certainly do not agree with some of the things he said and did recently.
HOWEVER:
For those of you who read N30N's last thread, or for those who are going to. Take a long hard look at his first post. He did make good on his intentions: He didn't want to go out like AirWolf, and he didn't. This time, I am not making a joke when I say that, I am being dead-*** serious.
Regardless of what he had to say or what his opinions were, read between the lines of his message instead. When I read THAT SPECIFIC post from him, I can honestly say that his post was probably one of the most serious, and deep-down and emotionally painfull posts I have EVER read on this entire forum from a member. Remember that.
For you younger guys that are 18, 19, 20... I was 19 once myself, and went through a MUCH similar situation as N30N is right now. When you are having serious problems with someone, and there is a kid involved, the emotional pain and stress level become unimaginable. He obviously was trying to befriend some of us, and I think his feelings were hurt and embarassed in some ways by the "public results and opinions" of some of his actions.
Do I agree with some of the things he said and did? No. Do I understand why he did them? Absolutely. I am not making excuses, but I am saying that I know where he is coming from. He may have more emotions running through his head that he cannot think straight at all. DF is probably the least of his worries right now, but hopefully he does find someone to talk to and get the support that he needs to find some sort of positive way to do the things he needs to do to keep himself emotionally healthy, and if nothing else, learn a better way to keep himself up and above everything to be a positive person and role model for his young child.
Like I said, do I agree with his actions? No. Do I respect his last message and hope him the best (as someone who has definitely been there and done that)... Absolutely.
I hope everyone else wishes him and his family the best too, to find the strength to make it through the rough times, learn to have more confidence, and be there to support their children. Its rougher than most people could imagine who have never been in that situation, especially at such a young age. I went through it all, believe me... and I made it through somehow even when I thought I couldnt.
Good luck N30N, keep your head up.
Patrick
