Meh you don't know what your missing, I was all anti-Vista before too. But now that I have real time experience with it (I even had the 32-bit version loaded on my old P4 and it was pretty damn snappy) I can't imagine going back to XP.

But yeah, I still have the Neon but its parked at my parents house in Cleveland undergoing some surgery...in the meantime I bought a 2000 Mazda 626 for my DD. 5-speed manual, 2.5L V6 (170HP/165 torque), 1/4 mile in 15.6 seconds, leather seats, and oh yeah, did I mention plenty of room in the back seat!!! lol

yay the neon god is staying for now! Question when we switched over to the new system, did the banned list switch over? Cause we have the two new airwolfs it seems like. Even though the shop one did type like airwolf except for the mods. Also anytime we ask for pics he/ she gives us zero. Plus you dont want to give out the name or adreress. We live all over the country. Like me, contagious and adionik are gonna carpool for thousands of miles to steal from your shop. So i'm 99.9999% that killersxt is airwolf. Also was it just me or did the car that tommy sxt post look ver familiar to graphite's? So i have a feeling that the banned from the old forum are coming back. Good cause graphite would be back. Bad cause i would have to listen to flip flop, diamond and shop crap. Like i said Killer = Airwolf is starting to add up more and more after each post.

 

I'm not 100% on what parts cost these days but I know it was safe to atleast throw 1k out there..haha

 

I love Vista; looks and features. You just need lots of RAM. Atleast 1GB. I'm running 2.5GB and it's real good.

 

so no gto for the neon god. Oh well, can always start saving up again. So what is the neon getting?
Edit: Vista is ok, just i always have a problem with internet explorer restarting all the time. Other than that its ok

Well, parts in general are really cheap...I could have built a really nice computer for $600-$700...but I went pretty high end on most of the stuff. I ordered everything from NewEgg and it came out to around $2,400 once I was all said and done...then again the same setup from Dell would have cost $5,000+ so no regrets here.

Ditto. FireFox3 is incredible.

 

The only problem I've found with Vista is that when you use IE on MySpace, it messes with the way you view people's pages.

I use FF though.

 

yep, just got used to it and stayed that way, tried mozilla once and felt wierd
Edit: Midnight i've never had that problem, had my apps screw up Ie but thats it
