i live in ny, and it sucks, that is why i stick the car in the garage for the winter.... i am kinda spoiled though, my hood used to look like that just not near as bad, but it got sanded out and painted...
that is why i love az. No water/snow/salt anywhere near me. Also lowslow did the steelies get screwed up or the nicer ones?
My nice ones. But it is minor damage to the wheel. Some surface scratches which the shop can probably touch up. Biggest thing is they broke the cap in the center of the wheel. Which it does nothing, other then there for looks. Insurance adjuster was out yesterday to check the damage out, he put the damage at right around $1,000. I then took it to my body shop for them to look at and they agreed that the adjusters estimate was pretty accurate from what they can tell so far. I don't have another car lying around so I have to wait a few weeks til I can borrow my moms car for a week while it goes to the shop. Insurance company is waiving my deductible since it wasn't my fault. So it shouldn't cost me anything other then my time and some gas to take it to the shop. And I have no doubt the shop will make it look like it did before it happened or better.
