Default 2004 Neon Panel Switches

Hey Everyone, I'm doing an alarm and remote entry install for a friend of mine and he wants a button inside the car to lock and unlock his doors. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions of a type of switch to install (OEM looking would be best) and where to install the switch itself.

Thanks in advance!

You can buy OEM style switches at autoparts stores, radio shack, dealerships etc.

AS for placement, that's all up to him and what he's trying to go for. Whether it be a clean OEM look, or somethings that cool and different.

Yeah I looked a autozone, oriley, and nappa, but all I could find was like those rice rocket type rocker switches. Maybe I'll try radio shack tomorrow... and if that fails, the dealership

Does he have door locks already in the vehicle if not u need to buy a door lock kit. 4 door kits with all the hardware and switches run for a couple of hundred bucks. Let me know if youre interested and I can get u an exact price. I am a MECP certified installer up here in R.I. so I can get u a good price.

hmmm...+1 on that...

either the guy already has electric locks, which means he already has the button to unlock and lock the doors..

or you gotta install a whole electric lock system... lots of money and labor... and a pain in the butt.... hope you charge him accordingly

Yea exactly. Either theu are their or not. The kit does take a few hours to put in so be aware of that when you tell him. If your nearby I dont mind quoting him a price dto do it.

Nah car doesn't already have locks. It's all good, I'm teaching him how to install the whole system. non auto to auto doors is no biggy. I just get 4 actuators and relays, and I'm just gonna run one switch to the driver side door. But anyway thanks for all the replies!
