Exhaust Question
my current setup is a single fireball type muffler, yes a fart cannon i know, with a header and cold air intake, i notice performance improvements, but i was wonderin how much of a difference would a dual exhaust make performance wise....
go go go izero i want to hear. No seriously though i agree with the backpressure thing. Look at it this way with a single exit it HAS to go one way. However the dual isnt forcing the pressure as much as the single
well with the SRT-4 rear section there is no vaccuum on either end b/c the exhaust splits into two and has an exactly symmetric shape all the way to each tip... so the air actually speeds up... i forget the factor it speeds up by... yes there is a formula to figure it out but it involves me pullin out my fancy calculator and school doesn't start again till like Sept. 1st or something so deal with it :-D basically for example... if you have a 3.5in. pipe and you put a gas through it and with the same type of gas at the same pressure put it through two 1.5in or 2in pipes the 2 pipes will actually flow much much faster and efficiently then the single... now im putting this crap into the dumbest down version i possibly can so deal with it till i get back into school mode and actually attempt being intelligent... and sober :-D he....he....he....
yea i have a single.if you do dual make sure its a Y pipe off the cat because it adds more flow.some people will have it where it goes manifold and then a pipe to the cat and then a pipe halfway from the cat there will be a Y pipe for the dual to the back.the way you can tell is in the winter the left pipe blows more smoke/steam then the right.just whatever you do make sure you do it off the cat please....Good luck

if you go with a y-pipe from the cat, you will have to bang out a new section for the second pipe to fit.... so basically a y-pipe from the cat back would sound nice and reduce backpressure/increase flow but it is gonna take some SERIOUS work for it to work
DO IT!
