i have an 05 neon and i read that the ngc wont allow any true changes in performance with basic mods i was wodering would it be better to buy the megasquirt or switch the pmc with an older neon like a 02 or 03 pmc. yes it is an automatic but i would rather perfer a stick

 

well you really cant change to 02 pcm because the crank position sensor is different i think

 

Yeah you can't just swap out for an older PCM, as the 00-02 use and SBECII controller and wiring system while the 03-05's use the NGC control system.

The crank sensors are different, along with a variety of other things that make the swap virtually impossible.

Best bet is MS'n'S if your looking for unlimited tuning potential...

 

Or just sell your car and buy an 02... save ya a lot of time and money lol.
