The Diamond Electric OEM coilpack that was put on many Neons has a secondary output voltage of 44,000 volts.

Look up the output voltage of the MSD pack for the 2ng-gen Neon, and you guys tell me if you want to waste your money.

I know the answer, because I used to build the OEM packs in our cars.

Save your money

dang iowa i wish i knew that earlier..coil pack wise. With wires though i tried the grantinilli and those caused my car to throw codes. Switched to the mopar performance and so far so good. Have had them on for a couple of months. Bad news is from what my local dealer told me is that they are discontinued.

Yeah your ECU is pretty smart... as your car runs, it does constant high/low resistance, low-wave and high-wave analysis on spark output from the coil... sometimes, **** happens. I would wonder if maybe you just got a defective wire from the factory? Hmm.
