There are many different types of HID kits for the Neon, but keep in mind there is no HID headlamp setup that is technically legal for the Neon... but that being said, if you used the appropriate kit and color range, I doubt a cop would care.

Modernperformance.com has some nice projector housings that would work for HID setup. As far as the HID bulbs and ballast box, check Ebay for a nice HID kit. I believe the size bulbs you want with the projector setup is 9001, different than the 9007 size that are OEM fit to the standard housings in our cars.

Color temp, measured in degrees Kelvin, of the bulb range from 3,000K to 14,000K. 3,000K is a yellow-ish white, 5000K is pure white. 8000K is a definite blue. I personally wouldn't go any higher than 8,000... 5,000K or 6,000K is probably well enough fine, trust me.

You should be able to find a decent HID kit somewhere for $150 or so. You may be able to find the projectors cheaper on ebay as well.

As far as the cruise control not working, do you get any indicators on your dash? Does it say it is on, but doesn't do anything? Just curious... let us know, and we'll go from there LOL.

6000 would probably be fine. Bright, but not too bright.

As far as you cruise switch, I am guessing either the switch on the steering wheel is bad, or the clock spring in the steering column is bad...

If you do decide to get an HID kit, I have a VVME 4300K Bi-Xenon (hi's and lows) that i'm selling. I freaking love the output because it's super pure white like a lexus...with just an itsy bitsy amount of blue, but mostly white. Looks gorgeous.

Our neons sit extremely low and with the headlamps aimed propery (and eyelids) you really don't have to worry about blinding people.

Let me know if you do decide

Fake HID'S? Did you buy the plain Xenon-filled elements?
