like rt said, no second gen neon have had egr valves, just for the record a first gen head will fit on a second gen, but u need to make a egr valve block off plate... did mine in like ten-fifteen min.... it worked great... have been driving it for about three years with the head on it!!!

Well it is sad when 8 different dealerships can't answer your question or just don't care enough to. It's nice to have some nice people that care enough to answer.

I found a transmission now too to go with the engine I picked up will have it Tuesday and hopefully have my neon going again by Friday.

That's one reason why I avoid dealerships as much as possible... I have never had a "great" experience with one.
