Im 18, on my dad's policy full coverage $82 a month. Not sure how much that'll go up if we claim or not.

Looks like you tore the spindle/hub away from the lower arm, for starters. Been there. As far as body damage, it doesn't look too bad... If you can get away with NOT claiming it, then fix it yourself. I would guess a new lower arm, bushings, ball-joint, CV-shaft, hub w/bearing, and probably a new brake caliper, rotor, and pads are in order... and obviously an alignment when it's all done.

I personally wouldn't claim it... you'll pay much more for insurance in the long-run of you do, between the deductable and monthly payments.

Yeah, you are lucky you didn't get the license pulled for that. The reason you guys are paying so much/month is the insurance companies believe you are a higher risk. I used to do stupid stuff when I was your age...I don't do it as much anymore cause it costs me too much money. LOL. Or else I'd probably still be doing it too. I pay around 85/month for full coverage. Can't wait til my speeding ticket falls off of there....

Same here... when I was 19, 20, etc... I did some REALLY dumb stuff while driving. Looking back, I was too reckless and would never pull some of that stuff nowadays (like going 120 mph in an F150 during a snowstorm just to get to some booty). And looking back, the booty wasn't worth it lol. I'm almost 28 now, and I pay $78 amonth for full coverage... believe me, keep your record clean, that way when you turn 25, your insurance rates will drop like a rock.
