That may be but I wasnt calling him names or talking about his car. So that gave you no right to say that to me. I was stating that his thread didnt give the info like I thought it would have. So after he link was put up to help me understand how to do it the disagreement was closed. Then you get on talking **** and calling me names. So before people on here go putting others down and talking about what they did or have they need to find out why the first comment was made.

So now back on topic. Now I know what to do if I ever decided to go that route. I most likely wont but at least I know.

Hmmmmm if history serves me right then how come it is that the neon was the first american 4 cylinder to do 9 seconds in the quarter mile and still be street legal. If you don't like neons you have no reason to be in here, IMO.

Yes it was a 1st gen but still. You can make these cars scoot just like any other dodge. **** you can get a dodge minivan with the 2.2 turbo'd and do tens in the quarter.

neons have a bad enough wrap as it is.
adionik has or had a neon lol. As far as neons having a bad wrap, it's true, how many times have you heard "o it's just a neon" among other things. It's not just adionik, his experience with the neon wasn't a good one, I'm sure there are a few things he likes about em.

I heard "its just a neon" when I was at the track with my SRT from both guys wanting to race me, and what happened, I didn't even see them anymore after i literally left them in my dust lmao.

Who cares if they had a bad rap or not. Who cares what people think. The point is when they say that shut them up by beating there @sses. Im sure there are other cars in history of cars that had a bad rap. So what vinyl is only for imports?

u can not build a 2.0 into a 2.4, but u can put a 2.2 strocker kit into a 2.0... honestly not really needed however... low compression pistons, and forged rods are ur best bet when going for big power.... stock internals will NEVER hold up to higher hp 2.0s....

as for the trouble u would be getting into, (not trying to scare u but this is the trouth)
alot of long nights, broken knuckles, and ALOT of money will get u a nice turbo setup, if u are into walking around junkyards u can find one and build ur own kit. (it took me around a year to save up the parts for my setup. along with going and finding them) overall to give u and idea, i have about 2500-2800 in JUST my turbo setup. u can get an intercooled kit from hahnracecraft for around 4k i think (correct me if i am wrong anyone) to give u an idea 05 shane i am looking at prolly in the 8-10k range for a 400ish whp 2.0.... that will include everything however, bottom end build, head build, and tranny build. just to give u an idea..... once again, i am NOT trying to deture u in the least to turboin ur 2.0, i am jsut stating the facts, and the been there done that type way...

as for doing a 2.4 swap... it can be done and has been done alot.... (not my thing) but the srt engines are also capable of getting into the 600-700 hp range... but to get a 2.4 out of an srt u r looking at around 4-4500 off of ebay.... and prolly another i am guessing 500 to get it in ur car.... also depending on were u live u will need to check on state inspection laws to, i live in ny and it was going to be VERY risky and possibley not able to get it driven on the road, due to not have the stock ecu in the car.... good luck and feel free to ask any questions on df, there are alot of good guys on here that wil be able to help.

Exactually my point people can say "oh it's just a neon" but then they are no where to be found when stomped by it. They take off running like a dog with it's tail between it's legs.
