so i now live in Ginesville but i came home to Orlando about a week ago and things went wrong for my car!
my whole power steering I believe is out according to firestone but its like 400 dollars to repair!!
can anyone help me find someone cheap..im a struggling college student living on my own..i need help!!

 

What exactly did they say?, just a bad pump or is their more to it?
You can drive without p/s for a bit until you get some cash to repair your problem but i think it would require a new belt to run with out p/s.

 

Go to the scrap yard and find one. But yeah if you don't mind driving without it just do that. It won't hurt the rack and pinion.

when i checked it was just the belt but then when i went to firestone they said the whole thing needs to be replaced..thing is i need my car now! i just got a new job too and it requires it..thx guys but unless you wanna fork up some cash or fix it for me, i can't just drive my car like that, my mom wont even let me and she has my car now so im just screwed lol

IMHO firestone has a bunch of "I just got out of tech school and i think i know everything" wannabe mechanics. take it to a real shop.

you said you were a college student living on your own, but in this post you said that your mom controls you, im confused.
