Question 1st gen struts on 2nd gen?

Will 1st gen struts bolt up in a 2nd gen (00)?

Often wondered this myself, is it the lower or top bolts that don't match? If it is the top the 2nd gen top hat should be able to be used. Don't quote me on this as its just an idea, guess I might take a look at my 97 tomorrow and see for sure.

i believe its da top bolts dat dnt match. i dont quite remember but im sure its da top dat i heard

I will definitely look into this, probably by this weekend as I have both sitting in my driveway. Will get back and let you know when I do.

thanks i can get ahold of 1st gen struts easy and it would make my ride smoother lol but I have the car up for sale so who knows I might just say screw it
