Angry Drain Oil for Oil Change?

Okay, I'm starting to feel like a moron. I've done Oil Changes on my own car plenty of times, but I'm trying to do one on my friend's 2005 Neon SXT and can't find the damn Oil Drain Plug. I see the filter...don't see the Plug. Can someone give me directions before I lose my damn mind?

I found it - didn't expect it to be up on the side - now I'm fighting to get the damned thing off.

Just be careful not to strip the head on your plug. I just had to remove my oil pan to get the plug out of mine. Oh and autozone has your replacement $3.99 just incase yu ruin that one getting it out.lol

-Yeah, keep the cresent wrenches and vice grips away from the drain plug. Either use only a 6pt socket or box end wrench.

yes definatly, and if you plan on changing it in the future it really doesnt need a whole lot more than hand tightening. The rubber seal on it will prevent the seizing like you have now, If you overtighten it again its just gonna stick when you crush the seal and the plug makes contact with aluminum pan.

I only ever went to an oil change place twice for any of my vehicles... both times, the douche-nozzles rounded off the hex on my drain plug with what appeared to be the teeth of channel-locks. No one has touched my vehicles since then, except me.
