What is this on the spark plug tubes?

Iowa, hopefully you can help me out.

I am getting this red grainy stuff with metallic flakes on the tubes. New headgasket time?

Your getting moisture down in there rusting the tubes. It's fine don't worry about it.

clean em up and put a little dielectric grease on the rim of the holes before you push the wires back on. it will seal the tubes better.

also make sure your intake is clean cause it could be some dirty air...
the tubes are made out of sylicone...2X silicone are bad a**
but yea you'll be fine
