Default Update on Creaks and Groans From Rear...

Well, the problem was...they couldn't "duplicate" the problem!! Man I'm pissey right now. I got the whole, "it's normal for those noises in cold weather" and "we can't dupilcate it" followed by, "bring it in if it does it again."

WTF

They pissed me off by telling me I had "several loose items in the truck, causing the noise." OK..."SEVERAL LOOSE ITEMS?" I have two bottles of wiper fluid!! That's it! So I guess gallon plastic bottles sound like metal on metal banging durning suspension travel. Oh they also sound like a strut creaking under normal braking durning cold temps.

Of the 4 cars I've owned, all which have seen sub-zero temps, this is the only one that has ever made these sounds. Well, that's not true. My 94 Cultass Supreme Covertible made the SAME sounds right before the right rear stut and strut bearing plate broke. I also mentioned that several people from around the country and Canada have been reporting similar problems in cold and in normal temps. I mentioned that I was part of a Dodge Forum with over 10 thousand members, and that many have reported the same thing.

That got me no place.

So, basicaly they found no problems, can't "fix" anything, and have no idea what's going on.

Oh, they tech also said it might be "brake noise." I told him I know all about the Neon's propensity for brake noise and that was not that.

Well if anyone finds anything else out let me know. I'm getting nowhere fast. This is the second time in two weeks that they can't find a problem or fix it.

Mine makes noise from the rear, but I did that. Rear sway bar pwns....I think it makes noise because I forgot to oil up my bushings. Oops...I can deal with the little bit of noise it makes.
