Default Spped sensor in an 05 SXT Automatic

Hey everyone. Well today after work i got into my car like usual and drve away. As im in the parking lot accelerating the dam things starts shifting funny from like first to second and back. it did this a couple of times and then it went away. OK so now im on the highway and i notice at around 60 mph its kicking outo of overdrive into like 3rd then back. WEIRD so im keeping my eye on the speedometer and I notice that every couple of secs it would drop to like 20 25 and then bounces right back up to 60 or so. It did this a couple of times and stopped. Now im freakin out. the car only has 24,000 miles on it and I hardly drive it. So I pull over shut the car off and start it back up. I check the levels and everyhting is fine. No CEL or anything. I drove it home no prob after that. So im curious if there is a speed sensor on the tranny somewhere thats loose or bad!! Anyone else ever experience this besides me or am I going crazy!!!!!!!!

well if it is anything serious, it should be covered under warranty. Did you check for codes?

well the cel hasnt come on. I am gonna bring it to my transmission guy tomorrow. I just dont know. Im just curious if there is a speed sensor located on the tranny somewhere that could have caused my odometer to jump around like it did. Well ive been wnating to change it to a 5 speed anyway LOL. Ill let you know what happens. I took it for a drive when I got through looking at everything and its driving fine now. WEIRD!!

yep its a sensor.if you drive it like that then eventually the cel will come on....
i would drive it a little more so it kicks on...as long as its not throwing your car in 1st on the e-way you'll be fine

yea i lied i got it to do it today but only if i try. It has to hover around 60 mph then i will let off the pedal and get back on it and the odometer needle has like a spasm. Weird
