Here is the link for all the tools you need. I got my Dash kit from Walmart. Make sure you have or get the radio pulling tool. I had the pair from my after market radio.

if you install a head unit that is only 4 channel, say 4x52w, would there be no power to 2 of your speakers since there are 6 speakers total??

well i cant justify that in the 05's. I have 6 speakers and they all ran fine off the radio. The ones on the dash are usually tweeters with a built in crossover (usually they are blown or sunburned) so they should all work . Wally worlds kit is ok but if your lookin for the best kit that will look awesome you wanna get a metra kit. This allows you to flush mount the radio and not have to use those gauky trim rings that come with the radio. I will give you the part number tomorrow(i should have one in stock). I also have the wire harness and ant adapter as well if you want. Let me know your zip and ill see about a toital price with shipping. You lookin for a deck as well?? Pm me and let em know. I have a 7" tv and a bunch of other audio for sale. Been trying to get all the pics together since like july!! I will try to save you a couple of bucks since I get everything at almost COST from my work.

All of those install kits look the exact same? The Wal-Mart one (Scosche) is just like the Metra one (I have the Metra one, Made in USA!!) I can't remember if the Scosche one did, but the Metra one as you can see matches the HVAC panel perfectly in terms of color and texture! If you don't use the stereo's trim ring, it will look bad because you will see the actual HU itself!

As for the factory speakers, it will work just fine. Mine actually gets way louder now than it did with the factory stereo and I have all of the factory speakers plus two 8" subs in the trunk.

The install kit is about $15. The harness is something like $5? The adapter from eBay is $5. So, you are looking at about $25 or so plus your stereo and maybe an hour of your time.

Sorry about the dirty car, haven't had time to clean it in a few weeks!

Well metra makes a custom kit that allows you to ISO mount the headunit so u do not have to use the ugly radio trim ring it comes with a black flush one. I dont think wal mart has that one but I never ourchased one so cant say for sure. I will get a pic tomorrow for everyone. Is it still a pain to post pics on here?
