Their is a C-clip that you have to remove in order to get the crank off, some angled pliers will take it right off. As for the cables you push the two tabs in that are underneath the lock and handle tab and pull up. Honestly I didn't disconnect them I just let the door panel hang down and I worked on it like that, now I know thats how you can damage the cables but it didn't affect mine at all.

By next Friday I will have everything installed that I have bought for the neon.

H.I.D. kit install is planned for sunday along with the finishing of my led project since I will have the relay modded by then.

I have to take the driver side inner door panel off to replace some broken fasteners.
FYI, these fasteners from chrysler are 12 bucks Each and I got 15 of them for 18.95 shipped, hehe what a deal.
Another FYI, be very careful when taking those window cranks off because breaking one is a $18 +tax mistake, found that out earlier when I ordered it.

Even the flasher relay was expensive, 22 bucks.....

When I get my tax return check I will be finishing this car off once and for all, well at least till I get my dream car..

I got the HID kit installed.

I currently have the 6k bulbs in it but one day when its warmer I will install the 4300's to see which one I like better.

To make the install easier I took the air intake off.

I mounted the driver's side ballast on a little bolt that was sticking out from the inner fender well I put the bracket their and found the correct size nut and it fit perfect:

Next pictures show where I put the ground for the drivers side harness, it is located right next to the ballast and is a perfect ground I had absolutely no flickering:

I put the hid relay controller on a screw by the pcm, just in case it were to fall off it is also ziptied in:

Here is the power wire and its fuse, 40 amp fuse

This is where I mounted the wire that feeds the passenger side of the car. I have it directly in front of the radiator zip tied so that it can't fall or get caught in anything:

This is the place I mounted the passenger side ballast:

And this one is its ground, This ground looks to be a major ground for the car, The hid kit wire barely reached it but it was worth it. I only had some fliskering during the initial test for 30 seconds after that it never flickered again.

And here are some pics of the light, Tonight I will go out and get some night pics, it may be snowing though according to forecasts.

Too cold out for leds they can wait...

Night pictures are here along with a couple new (dirty) pictures of the neon.

I had some fun and messed with the neighbors, I lit their house right up, even thought the camera can't capture the light. My camera also made the 6k's look alot tealer, if thats a real word (more teal). I want to get a nikon ds60 for my birthday so I get alot better pics.

well here they are:

Thats it for night pics.

If you thought your car is dirty , mines alot worse..

Here is a side by side comparo, stock h1's vs 6k h1's:

My kit total because I ordered all the wrong things is 250 bucks.

If you were to just order the h1 hid kit from vvme.com for 41 bucks plus shipping and get a 9007 hid wiring relay harness from retrosolutions.com (they have them cheaper on ebay) for 25 bucks plus shipping. You would have a complete kit for under 100 dollars.

The HIDS look great! But if it was that teal, my eyes would hurt driving at night lol.
