ok got a couple of questions for everyone just put a cold air intake on it and its great now should i be hearing a noise like when ever i get on the throttle kinda like a whisleling sound ?

would a (bov) still work with out a turbo?

and i have a air/fuel ratio gauge will that still run between lean and rich or just rich without turbo

 

i dont know too much about neon performance stuff but i have a cold air intake on my mustang cobra and when you open it up a little you can hear a faint whistle from the air intake

 

the whistle is just da intake and u cant use a bov without the turbo

What you hear is what you get. I'm sure a different throttle body, better filter, and maybe a custom intake would change it a bit...bit that's kinda drastic just to get a better noise...and I'm not even sure if it would be deeper.


The funny thing about CAI on my neon is it's louder then my exhaust. Seriously.

 

I'm trying to picture that.
I don't doubt for a second that its possible, I'm just trying to figure out if you have a really quiet exhaust system or a bloody loud CAI

I know that my intake is loud...but my exhaust rattles windows (sarcasm, I am going to try this in the garage now though...)
