Default Shift ****

So hey, anyone here sick of their shift **** on the automatics? I am. Has anyone went aftermarket on them? I've seen that Hurst has some for automatics, but how difficult of a swap is it?

I've thought about it, but in the end, the factory one seems it would be the best.

There has been some posts on this before, but I'm thinking on another web site (2gn?)

people have done it, but said it took some modifying...in other words, there's nothing you can just go on e-bay and buy and just 'plug-n-play'

someone had a pic of one swapped from a PT Cruiser, was all silver, looked like a ball with the button on the top

..there was also a post somewhere, where a guy wanted to make it look like a real stick shift, with the leather boot and all....which I thought was kinda stupid. for one, u couldn't tell what position the shifter was in (not like u feel with a stick)...plus seems awefully poser-ish...what ya gonna do, PRETEND to shift when u start up from a stoplight?

okay, just wondering... not worth the modding.
as for that look-alike one with the boot, almost as dumb as the side stick-on vents from auto zone

lol, my buddy did it to his cavalier years ago. His is an auto but he changed the shifter **** and put in a leather boot. I made fun of him for that.
