Smile Body Side mouldings

I am going to be removing the side mouldings, emblems and pinstripe off my car this weekend. Does anyone know if the side mouldings are just adhesive type? Or are they harder to get off and require filling holes? Thanks for the help guys.

ya they are held on by adhesive tape. you can remove everything and no holes to fill in. make sure to use a heat gun to make it easier, and either a eraser wheel to remove some of the extra adhesive or some goo gone will work too.

Industrial Strength Goof Off takes that adhesive residue off like nothing with a terry towel.

I agree with Goof Off for residue removal. Some will disagree, but worked great for me with no side effects. Just be sure to wash and wax the area, as Goof Off will strip everything off the paint.

Yeah, good call on the wash and wax. Forgot to mention that. I detail cars so I am very careful with the paint and have not had a problem using adhesive removers. You can use much worse stuff on the paint and not damage the paint.
