For the money Vibrant performance is the best, perfect sound when you get on it.

Pacesetter may look good for the price but i've heard so many bad things about pacesetter i was thinking of getting the pacesetter myself till i found out they are junk stainless steel and still rust like crazy. I will second the Vibrant thats what i'm eventually switching to.

I have a Borla cat back dual exhaust. It sounds great, if your willing to spend the money. they also have a million mile warranty and the are made out of t304 stainless steel. Ive had mine for a few years now and there is no rust whatsoever on it at all.

I have a 2000 chrysler neon and i'm looking to get a full r/t exhaust. If i was to find one would I be limited to what year I got the exhaust off of, or are all neons from 2000-2005 universial? If someone could get back to me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Cody

I'm pretty sure you can go 2000-2005 with no issues. I've got a 2004 SRT-4 exhaust on my 2003. Bolted right up.

I've got '04 SRT pipes running on my '05 SXT.
No issues whatsoever.

I've had the vibrant i actually still have it in my basement... only reason its not on the car is b/c i dont like how low it hangs... you need to cut the hangers shorter and re-weld them to get it to hang right... personally if i had a choice i would go with the SRT-4 rear section (what i have) with a glasspack instead of the two resonators in the midpipe it sounds very very nice... the borla also sounds nice but not with the stock resonators imo... so put a glasspack there instead :-P then you will be a happy camper! oh btw.. you will need to relocate your cat. with that long tube header... but it is gonna sound a wholeeeee lot louder and meaner!

I don't know the aftermarket exhausts very well.

I like the sound of the R/T exhaust, its fairly quiet until you punch it, and then it builds into a fairly loud angry purr. The SRT exhaust is nice too, its a deeper more 'base' sound to it, and its a bit louder than the RT. both fit really well

if you're not turbocharging, then really there's not a whole lot of exhaust backpressure
anyway, I'm not sure there'd be much performance difference between RT and SRT exhaust on a CE/SXT engine. Either would alleviate your high rpm exhaust pressure fine. SRT exhaust would give more room for later power mods though, and might be cheaper/easier to find, as RT's aren't numerous. plus the srt exhaust will be a more noticeably different sound.

<jealousy>that's going to be pretty cool with a header </jealousy>

Izero, would happen to have a clip of the pipe with a glasspack? My stock straight pipe is still at my friend's house. I guess I should save it if need be.
