Oil Pressure Warning Light
I just got inside...outside on the ground for 4 hours in low 30° weather. Ugh. I got the plug out finally, but called it a day as I have to get ready for work now.
You don't actually remove the tab, it just slides to the side a bit (again, it doesn't come all of the way out). If you still can't reach it, try a 1 1/16" wrench to get the sensor turned enough so you can release the tab.

I have heard of people driving for years with a rubber plug; and others who have had to re-tighten them on occasion. I don't see why I shouldn't be able to get the brass one in, but the fact that it is in the mid-20's outside right now, that is on hold.
Well drove around all day today, temp around 20F, car warmed all the way and both while idling in P and D (red lights, stop signs, etc) I have not had my oil pressure light return
I think the new sensor did the trick

I get the joy of replacing my oil pressure sending unit tonight I bought my 2002 dodge neon on monday and had some major problems but cheap fixes the one outer tie rod was completly dry and about to fall out and the other one had so much **** built up in it im suprised it could move! When i got the car it came with 150$ oil pump checked the pressure it was good so now going with the sending unit being 5degrees f here when i start it . the light is off then ill run it for 10-15 min down the road and it comes on so hope this fixes my problem! i got a steal on this car basically paid 650$ and put 50 in it 700$ for 29mpg and only 150xxx miles on it
I'd do it to be sure as you can't really tell, unless there is some way/method I've yet to hear. Cheaper than the work it would take to fix the engine if the belt did break.
You can pull the timing belt cover, a belt going bad is hard and shiny, cracks on the inside, fraying edges, idler pully will have some play too, its an easy butt saver and only takes about 2 hours in the drive way. Just go slow pullin the harmonic balancer off, some are tight mine was loosened up with PB a week before I did it. I just cant see paying the local shop 500.00+ for such a simple job...
