Default Broken reservoir top

I bought my 2001 Neon with a defect in the reservoir. At the top, where the cap is placed, the reservoir is partially gone. When I put antifreeze in, I constantly smell it from where it spills out at this hole and hits the engine block.

I tried to mend the hole using duct tape, but I figure it isn't holding because of the intense heat it is facing.

Does anybody have any suggestions as to a good and cheap way to fix this problem?

Any serious suggestions are welcomed!

Get one from either pick and pull or a recycler and replace it. That is probably going to be the cheapest way to correctly fix the problem.

BTW, I saw a lot of wrecked neons a week ago at a local junkyard and almost all of them that I looked at had intact reservoirs. I agree, go pull one and slap it in. Pretty simple fix.
