ok would some of you please explain why you shouldnt run platinum plugs in the neons. some of these rocket scientists i work with are trying to argue with me over something that i already know. maybe if they hear it from outside sources, theyll shut up about it lol.

I don't remember the exact specifics (there is a thread somewhere I think, can't remember where), but the simple version is simple some cars just don't run good with them. Just because it is "platinum" doesn't mean it's the best. I put platinum plugs in my truck one time and took them out very shortly after and put in the basic copper ones. Runs way better.

Oh, BTW, you could always try the Super Sonic Spark Plug. Only $5.95 each, lol

yea it was a while back when i read the thread, when i first got my neon. i explained to them the best i could about how the ignition system is different in these neons then in other vehicles and i guess i they got what i was trying to say, because they left it alone after that. had a couple kids come in earler with some beefed up neons and they saw mine out in the lot and we started chit chatting about them. so apparently thats how the convo got started because someone overheard what we were talking about.

There was a old forum member who ran the pulstars for a couple months no problems, then he stopped showing up. My i use denso iridiums. Also I don't know if it was just my neon or wire set but I had ordered the grantinilli's and they ran like crap. Kept throwing misfire codes. Switched to Mopar Performance wires and no problems (knock on wood).
