Default car wont start or turn over

hello everyone i hope your all doing well and that you all had a good xmas/new years , anyway i got a extra key and a new keyless entry remote (havent done anything to the key yet) i know you cant program the remote without the old one but i tryed anyway and now my car wont start, all i did is try to get the car into customer programming mode nothing else, battery is good so that can be ruled out, when i turn the key lights come on and the chimes etc, but no click and it wont even try to turn over, if anyone has any ideas please let me know as i need this car to get to work and school, thanks in advance, also need anymore info please ask

Maybe that's why you are supposed to have the original? Perhaps the car is stuck in program mode? I know nothing about this, but have you tried disconnecting the battery for a bit and see what happens?

unplug the negative cable from the battery for about 10 minutes. then reconnect it. thatll clear the computer. start the car with the original key and cut it off. if you still have your owners manual, itll tell you somewhere in there how to program additional keys. i believe you can have up to 3 keys per car
