There is no such thing as true coilovers for 45 bucks. That is just that cheap ebay coilover sleeves. If you don't want to shell out the money for coilovers I would just get some quality lowering springs. They're around 200 bucks, the ride quality is decent but you definitely will feel the road a lot more.

i totally agree with that a good set of coilovers will run about 1500 bucks or you can get a good set of drop coils for 200 i got a 1.5 drop for my 04 neon R/T they are eibach and i love them ride did get a little harder but handling gains were worth it if you are looking for a good online place to get parts i'd check out www.modernperfomance.com good prices and fast shipping i have bought a bunch of stuff from them in the last 2 years.

I"m sorry but coilovers aren't that bad. I've had mine on my car for years, with no major wear, and I'm not talking about the cheap ebay coilovers for 200 bucks, KW coilovers run 1200 bucks. ( which i have on ) no alignment issures etc. Dropped spindles, dude this isn't a truck. its a neon.

I have a set of stock 1st gen coils that'll lower your car. I want to raise mine so I'd trade you.
