This is for those people that have a 2.5 catback exhaust with tips that point to the gound, and stick out 2 feet from the bumper... If you look underneth your sxt bumper real close you can see where there are two spots that can be cut out to make perfect dual exhaust. They made one bumper for both the sxt and r/t. only on the sxt they didnt cut it out. It makes your car look 100% better. And YES those are TWIN 4 INCH MUFFLERS, AND THEY BOTH ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITH EQUAL PRESSURE OUT OF BOTH. No 2.5 inch tips here..........................................

thats a sweet exhaust and I know what you talkin about I didnt have to do it when Iput my mopar dual on my 2004 sxt and sometiome going to do what you did to my 1st gen.

 

I guess I will have to take it to a bs.. or make the cutouts myself because I don't have that.

Yeah but what about paint replacement on the cuts and what's to keep the paint from peeling from the now-open edge?

 

Bumper is plastic. Thats what will keep it from peeling.

 

The paint wont peel, And the open edges face under the car. So unless you crawl underneath it you will never see them. It works look Ive done it !!!

That's sweet. I'm planning on the cutting the hole aswell. Can I do it myself or should I pay someone to do it? If I should do it myself, what tools will I need? Also, how did you know where to cut? You said that you could see the outline behind it? Is that right? I have an SE, not an SXT. Hopefully it's like the SXT's.

 

The only tools you will need is either a nice rotary saw or a hand coping saw. Just take your time and do it right.
