Fuel pressure for engine swap???
Hi there...new here.
Just recently did a engine swap in the girlfriends car. It is a '00 car and we put a '02 engine in it. The swap has a few unresolved issues still and im hoping you guys can help. Now when starting, the engine cranks several seconds before firing. Before it fired right up. I'm wondering if the '02 engine requires a higher fuel pressure than the '00 or would this make the difference during start-up? I have not swapped all the sensors and the check engine light stays on all the time. Haven't had the codes read yet. Wondering if this is all related or what do you think?...any ideas?
