wondering if it was the temperature thing...

it is winter, and if he lives in a cold state... the overdrive will not kick in untill the engine/trans/whatever temp gets up to a certain level

-Yeah, my SXT hasn't been dropping into overdrive until I've driven a couple miles. Of course that was when we were sitting at -12* or so a couple weeks back. Now that we've warmed up to the teens and higher, everything is OK. Btw, what tranny fluid do you recommend?

-Yeah, I knew it used ATF+4. I was just wondering about which brands were preferred. But today I was at the local Wally-World nosing around. Found out they have Mopar ATF+4 for $4/qt. Not a bad price considering Advance Auto sells Valvoline ATF+4 for $5 and change. I'll have to pick up a few more and then grab a filter kit to do my change.

Matt
