Yeah, but isn't the Ultra-Lite gauge that comes in them a regular 2 1/16"? Why is your's smaller?

no, my gauge pod is a 2 1/8... sorry typo... i need the 2 1/8 gauge to fit in the pod from the srt... and i also have to find the pod again, lol i know i have it, but just cant find it. lol

question... i got a 5 inch tach that sits on the dash... theres 3 wires... one is a ground, second one has to be hooked to a power that only comes on when the key is turned on.. and the last im guessing is what hooks up to make the needle work...... but where should i splice this wire in? the coil? and if so, will it cause the firing to be weak? im confused about this

Correct. One to a 12V ignition source. One for ground. The green one would connect to the negative wire on a coil, but the Neon's don't have just a plain coil. On DIS, you need a tach driver to install.
