how can i get more power on a 2001 neon se sohc no over drive
my neon is a sohc with no overdrive when i step on the gas from a stand still i have a big time lag and no power 
how and what can i do to get more start torque and power, want to put a turbo in but i am thinking of a srt4 engine swap whats the best thing i can do.

if u do an srt swap, i would just put a manual tranny in it while u are at it, look into ur state laws though involving inspection, u might not beable to get it inspected... ny it is very hard, next to impossible to do it in a car any newer than 95
