help with RT sideskirts and rear bumper
i have duels now... but they r an oval tip... not round.... so i am not sure if either one would work.... i do like the rt sides way better than the srts though!!!
I just like the whole strait line of the rt sides rather than the srts not smooth looking style..... i am sure i could find srts asap but i would rather have the rts... lol
I agree, 2gen RT/mopar sideskirts are the nicest looking.
2gen RT's also have the best neon seats
Oh, and to answer the question, "R/T" body skirting consists of JUST the mopar sideskirts, and a fairly standard looking rear bumper which has dual exhaust cutouts. Mopar body skirting on the other hand, is an 'all the way around' set, including front & rear lip pieces. OR, at least it was originally sold that way, i've seen plenty of people selling the mopar skirt sets as incomplete kits. The mopar front & rear bits look pretty good in my opinion. apparently, the rear applied lip comes with a cut out on one side, and a line to show you where to cut the other side (for if you have dual exhaust). mopar/RT skirts don't go as low to the ground as SRT skirting.
The mopar front lip looks very nice too, if you have an oem se/sxt/rt/srt-D front bumper to put it on (note: the howwell
srt-D bumpers are not oem and come with their own style of front lip built in, but it looks like it'd work with the side/rear mopar skirting pieces in terms of style)
I don't think oval tailpipe tips would be a problem with the rear cutouts. There's a substantial amount of clearance space between the tail pipes & the cutouts. And if you just really badly wanted a very uniform looking clearance in the cutouts, you could just trim the cutouts before painting.
yeah, i've been looking at an awfull lot of body skirting info for my neon
