Default Trunk Carpet Kits

After bailing out the trunk and sealing the tail lights I think I will replace the carpet instead of trying to clean it, I doubt that I will get the smell and mold out. Does anyone know of a good place to get a molded (not moldy I have that) carpet? I might have to replace the inside carpet too.

Thanks

The smell came out of mine. I dried it with a portable shop heater thing and sprayed it down real good front and back with Lysol. If you haven't tried and have a way to set it out to dry, couldn't hurt in an attempt to save some big $$$.

for real, darth has as point, why spent money in somehting that doesnt need to be replaced.... the carpet can be pulled easy... spray it downa and dry it.... you can use a shopvac to do so, or just a reg carpret cleaner... unless you want to spend the time to find the matching color an spend the money to buy it... whatever you wanna do.

You can always put it somewhere enclosed and buy an odor bomb to use when you get it all cleaned up and dried out too.

Thanks for the ideas. I have it out of the car and I wiped down the inside of the trunk. I will try to clean the existing carpet first as you suggested and see what happens. I would rather do that then buy another one.

but then again there are tons of different colors... and who knows you may end up finding it at a junkyard in the same shape... *dont get me wrong* i get most of my **** at a junkyard, and also alot on ebay... but i am a firm believer of trying to fix what you have before you replace it... thats just how i am

Ya I wouldn't buy it from me anyways...shipping would be enormous. Best clean it, some mr.clean, a scrub brush and a hose.
