I'm going to go out here in a minute and look around in my engine bay. Not sure, thinking about it, what exactly I could look up without knowing what it is. Where does the wire come from (harness, firewall, etc...)?

 

Hehe, opened up the hood and immediately saw the wire you are talking about. It comes out of that big harness, yeah? Connects to a little, tiny box looking thing on the very far right (looking at it from the front) of the valve cover/head. Have a picture I can upload if you need it.

 

thats exactly what i was talking about... im assuming its a ground... i think when i took the valve cover off it was attached to one of the bolts maybe and just forgot to put it back on... when i go back up, im going to look around for the tab thats supposed to go there, or just spiced it somwhere to ground it.

lol, well it's like the size of a friggin quarter. I've looked behind the cover sooo many times and never noticed it until now.
