The biggest thing is make sure the front hook on the hood is strong. My friend had one on his prelude and it came off going down the interstate. From that experience I can also say they are very strong, of course the hood was trashed but it was still together just a bunch of scrapes and one crack where it nose dived into the pavement.

 

thast why you get hood pins...just incase that happens

 

you should always have hood pins on a cf hood...... because they are lighter then the stock hood and they don't mount as firmly to the hood latch they are easier to pop out. also because they are more airodynamic and light the wind can catch them and take them off like its nothing.... always double up lol

yea but you can go to your local parts store and get hood pins they shouldnt be but a few bucks and im plannin on gettin a carbon fiber hood later down the road

 

Do you think auto zone will have them. i think i saw them there. I might be workin there soon lol. so i can save up some extra $ for a turbo. hopfully [:@]

 

yea they will have them... i mean they cost no more than 5 bucks...and its well worth it!!!

 

If u want to be real safe u should get the Sparco hood pins for at the most $30. Sparco makes good products.

 

yea but when your payin 30 bucks compared to 5 it actually isnt worth it your really only buying the name brand...

 

If you are getting the hood pins, get the locking ones.
