So i have a 2000 dodge neon with 118k miles on it and tuesday morning i started my car and it idled for about 1 min then i tried to put it in gear and it died and hasnt started since i took it to the dealer they said it was my cam sensor and crank sensor. so i took my car home and changed those and it still doesnt start i spins over but does not fire any sugestions on what to do next?

Have you checked and tested the plugs, wires, and coil pack?

 

i changed plugs and wires about 5 months ago maybe 4000 miles on them ago and coil im not sure may still be factory coil

 

so i got spark now but still does not fire

 

My Neon died on the freeway last Monday. The car jerked forward, check engine and oil light came on and the engine just died. I had the cam sensor and the timing belt replaced. Good luck with your car!

 

i did my timing belt in november along with new tensioner water pump engine mount and serpentine belt and altinator belt
my check engine light is on when i try to start it but its always been like that

lol is it not suppost to be ive only had the car for about 2 years and anytime i start it up the light is on once the car starts it turns off never stays on
