Question SRT4 engine swap on 04 Neon

hey guys i was wondering if i can swap the 2.4 turbo engine w/computer into my 04 Neon SE. i know i should just go and buy an SRT4 so i dont have to mess with all the bull****, but i never learned how to drive a manual. i was hoping i could bolt the 2.4 to my stock auto trans, with little to no modification. I would really appreciate it, and to you SRT4 drivers, dont hate, a Dodge lover is a Dodge lover no matter if you drive a neon or an SRT4 clone.
Thanks

I would suggest getting the trans from a pt turbo, they are better then the one you have in yours, everything will bolt up just need to cut holes in your radiator support for the intercooler to go through. Have fun with it, Im a SRT-4 owner Im not hatin, but yea everything will just bolt right in, just get the 2.4 motor mounts as well .

It only takes, maybe, a couple of hours to learn to drive a manual if that really is the only reason. They are cheaper to fix too if something happens.

thanks moparmatt440. i didn't know that the PT turbo trans was better. thats good to know, so i dont blow my trans that i have. I found a totaled orange burst 05 SRT4 in Indiana that has everything, and i would LOVE to either fix that one at my shop, or swap everything over. Thanks again man, and if you have any other good info, let me know.

Well the manuel tran would be alot better, and like darthroush said its really not that hard to learn, plus the SRT trans come with posi in the 05 car your getting, and the axles are equal length kinda help with torque steer but not really lol. Either way, either car will work, if the suspension is good on the SRT swap that over too, if you cant fix the srt. If you have any question feel free to pm me.

maybe a little better stance, not sure about lower, but yes it will bolt to your car, the rear sway bars not sure might need to drill some holes, you would just need to look on the srt where they mount to the body then find the place on yours

well i just dont want my *** end to be so damn high. I would like to level out the height without sacrificing comfort like lowering springs.

IIRC what my friend who owned an SRT4 said, the SRT springs will lower the car about 0.5" As for not losing comfort and lowering the car, those two things do not really go hand in hand.
