Default Got a strange one here.... A/C- - - Middle Motor Mount- - - - confused????

Well hello to everyone I am brand spanking new on the Dodge Forums.

My problem is a rather odd one. I recently replaced the middle motor mount, top and bottom strut mounts on my wife's '03 SXT auto. Now the air conditioning will not turn on. I replaced the belt with a new one as well as clean the ground at the top of the engine mount plate (one that covers the timing belt).

I replaced the relay and fuse under the distribution box just incase it may have gone bad... But still nothing. The clutch will not engage on the compressor. I tried to jump the low pressure switch but still no engagement. The system is fully charged to the right specs I checked that to be sure I didn't break a line....

Any thoughts???? I am a moderator on the S10forum.com website and I absoulety LOVE these fourms... but this Neon has got me stupmed.

Thanks!!!

Did some more digging last night since good ol' South Florida is a schorer this summer.

I jumped the low pressure switch, nothing. Jumped the high pressure switch, nothing. Pulled the connector at the AC compressor and checked for power, I have a good ground but DO NOT have 12v going to the plug with the switch on.

I also did notice that the radiator fan is not coming on whenever I turn the AC switch on...

Again my fuses are new as well as the relay and I did check the new relay in the horn spot and it checked out okay.

My pressures are right in check high and low side.

Any thoughts???????????????????

I hate to bring up long dead posts but I am having the same problem on my 03 SXT ATX. I just redid the tensioner pulley and both serpentine belts and now my AC won't kick on. did you ever get your issue resolved?

Thanks!

noone has any idea why my ac quit working? It was working fine before the tensioner pulley seized and threw the belt.

my only guess on what to try is resetting the pcm by connecting the positive battery cable to the negative with jumper cables. dont know if it will work cause im not a mechanic but id say its worth a shot. putting the pcm in relearn mode hopefully could do the trick
