damn, i have never welded a thing in my life. that is lookin a bit more complicated than I thought. Ya, I do believe the longer the header, the more top end you are supposed to get from the header

do you have to cut by the cat...can you just cut a section out of the pipe further down and then re-connect it there ?? cuz u might not have to weld u can use a connecter but welding would be better. also if u can just mount it up with brackets you can take it to a muffler shop and ask them to weld it for you while its on the car.

im alittle confused but if you can move the cat an inch back then it will probley fit on without welding. i never new i had to weld it untill i decided to read the directions. cuz it was such a tight fit that the header wouldnt go into the cat even when i pushed it all the way as much as i could so i got it welded and it worked fine. The directions also said i ahde to take my friggen alternator out and my battery. why the hell would i need to do that. never did and i instaled it fine. dame directions.

if the cat fits in its normal place and the rest is off by an inch or so can't u just cut the exhaust pipe so you don't have the miss fit ?? u can cut the pipe with a metal saw u can get at a hardware store for like $5. not hard to do.. they even sell pipe connectors to connect two cut pipes but they tend to leak so u can just use it till u get it welded.
if thats what you guys are talkin about.

so if im correct what you are saying it to cut the exhaust pipe behind the cat not in front of the cat?. Basically just shortening the exhaust pipe itself which would than pull back the cat
